NSW and Sydney Roosters have been struck a blow with back-rower Boyd Cordner reportedly ruled out for at least a month.

Cordner, who was the Blues' best in their 6-4 State of Origin I loss to Queensland on Wednesday, will be sidelined for four to six weeks with a foot injury, News Corp Australia is reporting.

The injury looks set to rule him out of Origin II at Suncorp Stadium on June 18, opening the door for either St George Illawarra's Tyson Frizell or Penrith's Bryce Cartwright to come into the NSW side.
